About EXIF Metadata Viewer
EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) data is metadata embedded in photos by digital cameras and smartphones. Every JPEG and TIFF image can contain hidden information about how, when, and where the photo was taken.
- Camera Info: Make, model, lens, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focal length
- GPS Location: Latitude, longitude, altitude where the photo was taken
- Timestamps: Date and time the photo was captured
- Copyright: Artist name, copyright notices embedded by the camera
- Privacy Risk: GPS data in shared photos can reveal home addresses, travel patterns, and sensitive locations
๐ All processing is done in your browser. Your images never leave your device. The EXIF stripping feature lets you remove all metadata before sharing photos online.
Note: EXIF metadata is only present in JPEG and TIFF files. PNG and WebP images do not support EXIF data. Some social media platforms strip EXIF automatically upon upload.
